Fairmount

Fairmount Neighborhood

Often referred to as the “Art Museum Area” because of its walking-distance access to the Philadelphia Museum of Art, Franklin Institute, Rodin Museum, and Barnes Foundation, Fairmount is enjoyed by so many in part because of its proximity to beautiful green spaces and it’s the thriving food scene. Fairmount and its surrounding neighborhoods are constantly growing commercially and residentially as a neighborhood within the Greater Center City District, with plenty of transportation options. While mostly residential, some of the city’s best restaurants are scattered throughout it, and there is an endless amount of activities that are within walking distance. Its boundaries are north of Spring Garden Street, west of Broad Street, south of Girard Avenue and east of The Schuylkill River.
